Be a Responsible Trail User – abide by our rules, including
- Don’t ride closed trails or trails that are too wet
- Pay the parking fee
- Riders: join CVA SORBA
- Don’t litter
- Don’t alter the trail or cut corners
Be a Courteous Trail User
- Riders
- give notice of approach if overtaking from behind
- slow down
- Do not wear earbuds in both ears
- Generally act like your momma would want you to act when you’re a guest
TAKE OWNERSHIP AS A USER
Use you Voice
- Stay informed and share your knowledge
- Hold others accountable to our rules and culture
- Help us grow our user group; bring others to the trails
Use your Hands
- Trail Corridor
- After a storm (e.g., fallen limbs)
- Spring growth
- Trash (on the trail and at the trailhead)
- Muddy Spots
- Walk, run, or ride the low edge of the trail
- Kick or scrape open the drain
BECOME AN ADVOCATE
- Take Initiative – let us know if you want to help
- Come to Trail Workdays
- Participate In or Lead Group Hikes, Runs, and Rides
- Use Any Specialized Knowledge, Skills, or Connections (e.g., photography, graphic design, marketing, accounting or bookkeeping, carpentry, donation of materials)
- Contribute Financially
